Eak Lal Amgain is the Managing Director of Holiday Planner Treks Pvt. Ltd. His love for nature and the mountains began while growing up in K Goprkha a small hilly town near Kathmandu. Starting as a trekking assistant,ak Lal Amgai worked his way up to become a Trekking Guide and eventually started his own company with a friend. is an experienced mountain guide who has trekked across all regions of Nepal, as well as traveled to Europe, Australia, and various Asian countries.
After completing high school in 2000, Eak Lal moved to Kathmandu for higher education and career opportunities. was appointed as trekking staff by a local agency and his first assignment was accompanying a hiking group to Ghorepani Poon Hill. This experience was unforgettable for him even though it was just a short and easy trek lasting five days. His first Himalayan trek with clients was the Everest Base Camp Trek, which taught him valuable lessons service in the mountains.
Eak Lal's quick learning ability and positive attitude made him popular clients. After obtaining his trekking guide license, he became a full-fledged trekking leading large groups along popular trails such as Everest, Annapurna, Langt, Manaslu, etc. After gaining 12 years of experience working for other travel companies,he decided to start his own venture alongside his friend - Holiday Planner Treks Pvt Ltd.
The initial years were challenging for Eak Lal and his friend but their determination paid off they built one of the leading adventure travel companies in Nepal today – Holiday Planner Treks Pvt Ltd. They now an accomplished team of mountain guides and travel planners ready to fulfill your adventure dreams.
Eak Lal attributes their success to their supportive team members and well-wishers who went out of their way to help during difficult times. Initially, Tamang Ram, one of the more experienced guides at NVT, initially aspired to join the army. However, when he was unable to do so, he began assisting his cousin who was a river. Mr. Tamang's foray into tourism started as an assistant river guide.
first trekking experience involved being a porter for a trip to Annapurna Base. After several seasons, he transitioned to working as a porter cum guide before eventually a full-time guide. His maiden assignment as a guide was taking a Japanese guest on Langtang Gosaikunda Pass Trek.
Mr. Tamang resides in Kathmandu with his parents wife and young daughter. He is passionate about traveling and enjoys playing card games; although admits that he tends to lose more often than win.
Nepal may be small in size but it is incredibly diverse. The multitude of colors and cultures add charm to the majestic Himalayas. Mr Tamangcordially invites tourists to come and experience this diversity firsthand in Nepal.

Katwal Padam was born in the lowlands of Solukhumbu in the Everest Region, making mountains a significant part of his identity. He attended school in Solukumbu and working in tourism as a porter long before he relocated to Kathmandu. During his trek as a porter, he carried a load exceeding 30 kg, but the breathtaking natural beauty around him captivated him much that he felt like the load was merely 2 kg. This demonstrates his deep love for the mountains and nature.
Padam enjoys sharing his passion for the mountains with his and strives to provide them with opportunities to appreciate the Himalayas. Despite his serious demeanor there is a lighthearted and humorous side to him.
Padam is very passionate about sports, particularly football. In his spare time, he enjoys football, cricket, and table tennis. He also relishes playing chess with interested guests during treks high up the mountains when free time allows it.
