Manaslu Conservation Area

Manaslu Conservation Area is an area of protection in Nepal. In 1998, it was created and comprises 1,663 sq km (642 sq miles) within the Mansiri Himal range in the Himalayas of the Gorkha District. In terms of elevation, the area can range from 1,400 to 8,156 meters (4,593 to 26,759 feet) at the summit of Manaslu. It is renowned for its home to manaslu, the Manaslu peak (8,156 meters) as well as other watercourses, mountains, and glaciers. Manaslu Conservation zone is home to 100 species of bird and mammals, as well as eleven kinds of butterflies and three reptile species.
